The operation of New Bedford Whaling National Historical
Park relies heavily on collaborative efforts and partnerships
with state and municipal agencies, nonprofit institutions
and community organizations. The National Park Service
and these groups have joined together as "Partners
in the Park."
The Partners meet on a quarterly basis and collaborate
on numerous fronts, including: interpretive/educational
development and programming, special events, infrastructure
work, marketing, and exhibit development.
Park partners are invited to complete a Collaborative
Park Resources Program Application for projects which
substantially involve the park and/or assist the park
in fulfilling its legislative mandates through parnterships.
CPR program quidelines and applications may be downloaded
