Volunteers help the National Park Service meet the national mission.
They have made immeasurable contributions to virtually every division
within Manzanar National Historic Site. Most volunteers are employed
in full or part-time jobs. Many are retired. Some are students. Today's
volunteers are active, dynamic, creative individuals of all ages who
possess the skills, desire, patience and time to accomplish a wide
variety of tasks and to become part of the NPS Community. Volunteers
are, without a doubt, Very Important People! In 2003, more than 50
volunteers donated 2,150 hours of service for Manzanar National Historic
Site.
