Entrance Hall & The Parlor

Some evenings, the family entertained guests and held meetings in the parlor.  Alberta King, choir director at Ebenezer Baptist Church, held choir rehearsals in the parlor with the choir members spilling out into the entrance hall. The children helped serve refreshments after  rehearsals were over.  Daddy King conducted voter registration, education, and church business meetings here. The parlor was the scene of joyous family celebrations.  The Christmas tree stood in the corner by the door during the holiday season.
