“The Moving Wall” will be on exhibit at the Lyndon B. Johnson National Historical Park from April 5 through April 11, 2004. “The Wall” is a half-size replica of the Washington, D.C. Vietnam Veterans Memorial and is intended to honor the men and women of the armed forces of the United States who served in the Vietnam War. The names of those who gave their lives and of those that remain missing are inscribed on the wall in the order they were taken from us. “The Moving Wall” is the only true replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial and remains the only traveling memorial that was actually designed and physically built by Vietnam veterans.

Special events and activities are planned throughout the week and include: guest lectures, book signings, recognition of veterans, military band concerts and more. Curriculum materials regarding the wall will be available for school groups. For additional information call (830) 868-7128, ext. 231 or 244. You can also e-mail Liz_Lindig @nps.gov.
