FOR COMMUNITY PROPOSALS
The Patrick J. Mogan Cultural Center is seeking
proposals from individuals and organizations for cultural heritage
and community environmental projects and programs that will be
considered for funding by Lowell National Historical Park . Proposals
must relate to the mission of the Mogan Center, which is to tell
the human story of Lowell.
Proposals will be reviewed competitively and acted upon by the
Mogan Cultural Center Community Committee, with the approval of
the National Park Service. Persons or organizations whose proposals
are selected for funding and co-sponsorship will work closely with
National Park staff to ensure that their programs or projects benefit
the community. Funding of proposals will be at a level of no more
than $2500.
Among the programs and projects to be considered might be: temporary
exhibits at the Mogan Center or at other sites; neighborhood beautification
projects; cultural, artistic or ethnic fairs or festivals; lectures,
readings or workshops; musical or theatrical performances; youth
arts programs; educational programs; documentation projects; historical
research with a public component; and environmental awareness programs.
For consideration send a one page (250 to 400
words) description, a brief biographical statement on project personnel
qualifications and a project budget of your proposal to:
