A Brief Visit

Boott Cotton Storehouse

photo of brick wall with lots of little windows - photo shot looking thru some large gears

Viewed through the gears of the rolling dam, the Boott Cotton Storehouse exhibits a different architectural form than other buildings. Most mill buildings have large windows, spaced closely together to allow as much light as possible into the mill's interior. Since no manufacturing was done in the storehouse, less light was necessary.
