Indians massacred Abraham Lincoln, grandfather and namesake of the President, in May 1786. He is buried at the Long Run Cemetery, Jefferson County, Kentucky.

Bathsheba (sometimes spelled Bersheba) Lincoln, the President’s grandmother, is probably buried at the Mill Creek Cemetery, Hardin County, Kentucky. The exact date of her death is unknown.

Thomas Lincoln, Jr., infant brother of the President, is buried at the Redmond family burial ground near Knob Creek, Kentucky. It is generally believed he lived less than three years, and died between 1811 and 1815.

Nancy Hanks Lincoln, Abraham’s mother is buried in Spencer County, Indiana, on the grounds of Lincoln Boyhood National Memorial. She died October 5, 1818.

Sarah Lincoln, an older sister, is buried at the Little Pigeon Church Cemetery located approximately one mile south of the Lincoln’s Indiana home, within the boundaries of the Lincoln State Park. Her gravestone bears the inscription: "Sarah Lincoln/wife of Aaron Grigsby/February 19, 1807/January 20, 1828."

Thomas and Sarah Bush Lincoln, father and stepmother, are buried in the Corydon Cemetery at Shiloh Church, near Charleston, Illinois in Coles County. "Thomas Lincoln, January 6, 1778 – January 17,1851. Sarah Bush Johnston Lincoln, December 12, 1788 – December 10, 1869."

Abraham Lincoln, Mary Todd Lincoln, and their sons, Edward, William, and Thomas (Tad), are buried in the Lincoln Tomb, Oak Ridge Cemetery, Springfield, Illinois.

Robert Todd Lincoln, the Lincoln’s oldest son and the only child to reach maturity, is buried in Arlington National Cemetery. He died July 26, 1926.
