Cosmetic Kit
Made of brain tanned deer hide and decorated with porcupine quills, cosmetic kits were about 8”x8” in size. They often contained face paints, a mirror, and a small pouch to hold a sewing awl and sinew. Porcupine tails, with the quills removed, were used as hair brushes.Learn more about:
