| Basket making was
considered women's work and sacred. To make baskets you must first buy the
right to do so from an older woman. Made primarily of willow and ash they
were used to carry loads and harvest crops. This style of basket is only
made by the Mandan, Hidatsa, or Arikara. Learn more about:
