Child's Tipi

Young girls often imitated their mothers by playing house with miniature tipis. Made of decorated hide they were given as gifts by aunts or grandmothers. Animal vertebrate would be dyed and used as people. The family tipis were used for extended hunting trips and owned by the women of the lodge.
