Animal Adaptations
Animals are able to survive where they live because they are adapted to their environment. An adaptation can be a behavior, such as burrowing to avoid extreme heat and predators. It can also be something structural or functional about the animal’s body, such as the ability to blend in with its surroundings. Can you figure out which animals burrow; which are nocturnal, sleep during the day and hunt at night, and which have camouflage so they are hard to see?
