Amable Guion, a stone mason born at Fort De Chartres in 1718, built this 40 x 26 foot house in 1766, and enclosed its grounds with a stockade. He was killed at the Battle of Fort San Carlos on May 26, 1780 (see Block 100). His widow married William Heberte dit Lecompte.
