Joseph Brazeur, Sr. owned this house, which measured 25 x 40 feet and was built in 1786.

This view, looking northwest, shows the site of the Brazeur House, which is the parking lot in the foreground on the corner of First and Lucas Streets. The tall brick building beyond is the headquarters of Bi-State Development Agency, and stands on Block 26, once the home of Jacques Clamorgan.
