This house was owned by Cambas and Ortes and measured 20 x 18 feet.

The site of the Cambas and Ortes House is today occupied by the north reflecting pond on the grounds of the Gateway Arch. This modern view was taken looking eastward. In 1804 the rolling hills seen here and the pond did not exist.
