House

[Block 88B]

Louis Buor built this vertical log house for himself about 1797.

The Louis Buor House once stood on the left hand side of this view, which was taken from the Arch grounds looking west. This is at the confluence of modern Third Street (now called Memorial Drive) and Locust Street (now blocked to traffic from Memorial Drive by the Mansion House Complex of buildings).
