ISLE ROYALE RELEASES ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT
FOR PUBLIC REVIEW
(HOUGHTON, MI) – Superintendent Phyllis Green released an Environmental Assessment for public review and comment today. Isle Royale National Park, Michigan, proposes the construction of four buildings to house mandatory oil spill response equipment at Amygdaloid Island, Malone Bay, Windigo, and Rock Harbor. The Environmental Assessment describes a no action and a proposed action alternative and analyzes the environmental impacts of each. The National Park Service prefers the proposed action.
