Pets
Dogs,
cats, and other pets are not allowed within the Park. This includes pets on
boats within the Park boundaries, which extend 4.5 miles into Lake Superior
from the outermost land areas. Visitors bringing pets to Isle Royale will
be required to leave immediately. Pets disturb wildlife and can transmit diseases,
particularly to wolves. Special conditions apply to guide dogs. Please contact
the Park for further information.
The information below reflects information
updated for the 2005 summer season.
Note:
Lake Superior can get rough. If you are susceptible to motion sickness,
you may want to bring a motion sickness preventative, just in case.
