The following information describes the maximum consecutive nights stay, number of individual tent sites, number of shelters, number of group tent sites, special information, and depth at dock in feet for 36 campgrounds at Isle Royale National Park.   The campgrounds are discussed in a paragraph per campground, alphabetically.


Beaver Island Campground has 3 consecutive nights maximum stay, no individual tent sites, 3 shelters, and no group sites.  It has boat access, canoe and kayak access, and self-contained stoves only.  The water is 2 to 5 feet deep at the dock.

Belle Isle Campground has 5 consecutive nights maximum stay, 1 individual tent site, 6 shelters, and no group sites.  It has boat access, canoe and kayak access, and campfires are allowed in grills provided.  The water is 13 feet deep at the dock.

Birch Island Campground has 3 consecutive nights maximum stay, 1 individual tent site, 1 shelter, and no group sites.  It has boat access, canoe and kayak access, and self-contained stoves only.  The water is 5 feet deep at the dock.

Caribou Island Campground has 3 consecutive nights maximum stay, 1 individual tent site, 2 shelters, and no group sites.  It has boat access, canoe and kayak access, and campfires are no longer allowed, so self-contained stoves only may be used.  The water is 10 feet deep at the dock.

Chickenbone East Campground has 2 consecutive nights maximum stay, 3 individual tent sites, no shelters, and 1 group site.  It has canoe and kayak access, trail access, and self-contained stoves only.  There is no dock.

Chickenbone West Campground has 2 consecutive nights maximum stay, 6 individual tent site, no shelters, and 3 group sites.  It has canoe and kayak access, trail access, and self-contained stoves only.  There is no dock.

Chippewa Harbor Campground has 3 consecutive nights maximum stay, 2 individual tent sites, 4 shelters, and 1 group site.  It has boat access, canoe and kayak access, campfires allowed in provided grills only, and trail access.  The water is 7 feet deep at the dock.

Daisy Farm Campground has 3 consecutive nights maximum stay, 6 individual tent site, 16 shelters, and 3 group sites.  It has boat access, canoe and kayak access, self-contained stoves only, and trail access.  The water is 9 feet deep at the dock.

Desor North Campground has 2 consecutive nights maximum stay, 3 individual tent sites, no shelters, and no group sites.  It has trail access nd self-contained stoves only.   There is no dock.

Desor South Campground has 2 consecutive nights maximum stay, 7 individual tent sites, no shelters, and three group sites.  It has trail access nd self-contained stoves only.   There is no dock.

Duncan Bay Campground has 3 consecutive nights maximum stay, 1 individual tent site, no shelters, and no group sites.  It has boat access, canoe and kayak access, and campfires are allowed in grills provided.  The water is 6 feet deep at the dock.

Duncan Narrows Campground has 3 consecutive nights maximum stay, 1 individual tent site, 2 shelters, and no group sites.  It has boat access, canoe and kayak access, and campfires are allowed in grills provided.   The water is 6 feet deep at the dock.

Feldtmann Lake Campground has 2 consecutive nights maximum stay, 5 individual tent sites, no shelters, and 2 group sites.  It has trail access and self-contained stoves only are allowed.  There is no dock. 

Grace Island Campground has 3 consecutive nights maximum stay, no individual tent sites, 2 shelters, and no group sites.  It has boat access, canoe and kayak access, trail access, and self-contained stoves only.  The water is 3 feet to 4 feet deep at the dock.

Hatchet Lake Campground has 2 consecutive nights maximum stay, 5 individual tent site, no shelters, and 3 group sites.  It has trail access and self-contained stoves only.   There is no dock.

Hay Bay Campground has 3 consecutive nights maximum stay, 1 individual tent sites, no shelters, and no group sites.  It will have boat access when the dock is replaced, canoe and kayak access, and self-contained stoves only are allowed.  The water is 5 to 7 feet deep at the dock (once it is replaced).

Huginnin Cove Campground has 3 consecutive nights maximum stay, 5 individual tent site, no shelters, and no group sites.  It has self-contained stoves only and trail access.   There is no dock.

Intermediate Lake Campground has 2 consecutive nights maximum stay, 3 individual tent sites, no shelters, and no group sites.  It has canoe and kayak access and self-contained stoves only.  There is no dock.

Island Mine Campground has 3 consecutive nights maximum stay, 4 individual tent site, no shelters, and 2 group sites.  It has trail access and self-contained stoves only.   there is no dock. 

Lake Richie Campground has 2 consecutive nights maximum stay, 4 individual tent sites, no  shelter, and 2 group sites.  It has canoe and kayak access, trail access, and self-contained stoves only.  There is no dock. 

Lake Richie Canoe Campground has 2 consecutive nights maximum stay, 3 individual tent site, no shelters, and no group sites.  It has canoe and kayak access and self-contained stoves only may be used.  There is no dock. 

Lake Whittlesey Campground has 2 consecutive nights maximum stay, 3 individual tent sites, no shelters, and no group sites.  It has canoe and kayak access and self-contained stoves only.  There is no dock.

Lane Cove Campground has 3 consecutive nights maximum stay, 5 individual tent site, no shelters, and no group sites.  It has canoe and kayak access, trail access, and self-contained stoves only.  There is no dock.

Little Todd Campground has 2 consecutive nights maximum stay, 3 individual tent sites, no shelters, and no group sites.  It has canoe and kayak access, campfires allowed in provided grills only, and trail access.  There is no dock. 

Malone Bay Campground has 3 consecutive nights maximum stay, no individual tent site, 5 shelters, and 2 group sites.  It has boat access, canoe and kayak access, campfires allowed in provided grills, and trail access.  The water is 6 to 7 feet deep at the dock.

McCargoe Cove Campground has 3 consecutive nights maximum stay, 3 individual tent sites, 6 shelters, and 3 group sites.  It has boat access, canoe and kayak access, trail access, no alcohol allowed, and fires in the community fire ring only.  The water is 7 feet deep at the dock. 

Merritt Lane Campground has 3 consecutive nights maximum stay, 1 individual tent sites, 1 shelter, and no group sites.  It has boat access, canoe and kayak access, and self-contained stoves only are allowed.  The water is 8' deep at the dock. 

Moskey Basin Campground has 3 consecutive nights maximum stay, 2 individual tent sites, 6  shelters, and 2 group sites.  It has boat access, canoe and kayak access, self-contained stoves only allowed, and trail access.  The water is 8 feet deep at the dock.

Pickerel Cove Campground 2 consecutive nights maximum stay, 1 individual tent site, no shelters, and no group sites.  It has canoe and kayak access and self-contained stoves only are allowed.  There is no dock. 

Rock Harbor Campground has 1 consecutive night maximum stay, 11 individual tent sites, 9 shelters, and 3 group sites.  It has trail access, boat access, canoe and kayak access, treated water supply, and self-contained stoves only are allowed.  The water is 5 to 10 feet deep at the dock. 

Siskiwit Bay Campground has 3 consecutive nights maximum stay, 4 individual tent sites, 2 shelters, and 3 group sites.  It has boat access, trail access, fires in the community fire ring and provided grills, and no alcohol allowed.  The water is 5 feet to 7 feet deep at the dock.

Three Mile Campground has 1 consecutive night maximum stay, 4 individual tent site, 8 shelters, and 3 group sites.  It has trail access, boat access, canoe and kayak access, and self-contained stoves only are allowed.  The water is 9 feet deep at the dock.

Todd Harbor Campground has 3 consecutive nights maximum stay, 5 individual tent sites, 1  shelter, and 3 group sites.  It has boat access, trail access, and fires in the community fire ring only.  The water is 4 feet deep at the dock. 

Tookers Island Campground has 3 consecutive nights maximum stay, no individual tent sites, 2 shelters, and no group sites.  It has boat access, canoe and kayak access, and self-contained stoves only are allowed.  The water is 7 feet deep at the dock.  

Washington Creek Campground has 3 consecutive nights maximum stay, 5 individual tent sites, 10  shelters, and 4 group sites.  It has canoe and kayak access, trail access, treated water available, and self-contained stoves only are allowed.  The campground has no dock.  

Wood Lake Campground has 2 consecutive nights maximum stay, 3 individual tent sites, no shelters, and no group sites.  It has canoe and kayak access and self-contained stoves only are allowed.  There is no dock.
