The following information has been updated for 2005.
The Ranger III offers passenger services from May 31 through September 10. During this period, the Ranger III travels from Houghton to Rock Harbor every Tuesday and Friday, departing Houghton at 9:00 a.m. The Ranger III returns from Rock Harbor to Houghton every Wednesday and Saturday, departing Rock Harbor at 9:00 a.m.
All fares are one-way.
Adults are $52.00.
Children (under 12) are $24.00.
Groups of seven or more are $45.00 one-way for adults and $21 one-way per child.
Note: If a group falls below seven, full rates will be charged. The group
must be booked at one time; infants do not count as part of the seven required
for group status.
Boats (less than 18 feet long) are $80.00.
Boats (18 feet up to twenty feet even) are $130.00.
Disabled boat (20'01" to 26'00") are $350.00
Canoes and kayaks are $21.00.
Canoes and kayaks over 20 feet or over 90 pounds are $55.00
Outboard motors are $15.00.
100 pounds of gear per ticketed passenger is free.
Excess freight is $8.40 per 100 pounds.
