Education Program information
Learn about 18 different programs offered by national lakeshore
staff and how to schedule them by viewing our section of Educational
Adventures in the Dunes 2006 - 2007 brochure. Beginning August 23, 2006 Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore will offer year round scheduling for education programs.(updated thursday august 24, 2006)

and Training
Throughout the year the national lakeshore and its partners offer
a wide variety of workshops on different themes and topics. Check
out the current calendar and learn how to register; many of the
workshops can be taken for graduate credit.

Play this fun, interactive
learning game and experience how the Indiana dunes were formed,
how they became a national park and what you can do to protect them.
This is an excellent activity to prepare your students for a visit
to the park.

Safety Challenge/Game
Play this interactive learning game about water
safety, how sandbars effect water depths along Indiana's Lake Michigan
beaches. Discover some ways to protect yourself and others during

DuneSCOPES
Students Concentrating on Positive Environmental Studies is a program
for high school students that engages them in ongoing projects that
promote student learning while enhancing the national lakeshore's
mission. Learn about what your school is already doing or what it
could do.
Indiana
Dunes Environmental Learning Center (IDELC)
This private, nonprofit organization partners with the national
lakeshore to provide quality overnight education programs focusing
on the Indiana dunes.

Educators Network of the Southern Lake Michigan Region
This comprehensive web site is a portal to a multitude of environmental
education resources throughout the Chicagoland and northwest Indiana
region.
