Reservations

Guided tour reservation tickets for the FDR Home are issued at the ticket office adjacent to the parking area. Families or individuals may reserve ahead as well by contacting our Reservation Center at 1-800-967-2283 or by website at http://reservations.nps.gov. Reservations are accepted up to five months in advance. The site is a very popular tourist attraction in Hyde Park, especially during the fall foliage season. Tours often sell out during the month of October, and throughout the year on weekends after 2:00pm. Advance group reservations are necessary months prior to your planned visit. All visitors (including children) must have a tour reservation ticket in order to join a Guided Tour. Access to the FDR Home is by Guided Tour only. Golden Age Passports entitle the cardholder to a 50% discount on all Roosevelt-Vanderbilt park tickets. This discount is available for the cardholder only - this does not apply to family members. Golden Access Passports entitle the cardholder to a 50% discount. Golden Eagle Passports are not honored for user fees (guided tours).

Group Reservations: The historic structures are at an advanced age and were designed for family living, not as public facilities. To minimize stress on the historic structure, the maximum size of any group permitted to tour the Franklin D. Roosevelt Home at any one time is 50. Larger groups will be admitted in two or more sections; separate reservations are required for each group. School groups must have one chaperone for every ten students. Commercial tour groups and school groups will be scheduled on the hour. NOTICE: As of November 1, 1999, all COMMERCIAL TOUR GROUPS and EDUCATIONAL GROUPS must place reservations for both the FDR Home and the FDR Library & Museum with Biospherics, Inc., our new reservation center. Contact the center at 1-800-967-2283, seven days a week from 10 AM through 10 PM (Eastern Time). Or reserve by secure website at http://reservations.nps.gov. Commercial group reservations are accepted up to one year in advance. Families or individuals may reserve ahead as well. Reservations are accepted up to five months in advance. From 26 - 50 people: $100.00 flat fee WITH A CONFIRMED RESERVATION. Without confirmed reservations, the fee is $10.00 per person. An additional bus rate fee of $3.00 per adult is charged WITH A CONFIRMED RESERVATION for groups wishing to visit the Presidential Museum. Without confirmed reservations, the fee is $5.00 per person. The National Archives and Records Administration operates the Presidential Museum. Members of a commercial bus group may not use golden passports, they are intended for private individual use only. Bonafide educational groups can qualify for a waiver of the user fee. Contact the Reservation Center for more information.
