Accessibility/Special Needs:
The Roosevelt Home is fully accessible to the mobility-impaired.
Accessible restrooms are available nearby. Signing or other special
accommodations may be possible with advance arrangements. Parking
for buses and RVs is available. Handicapped parking is also available.
Wheelchairs are available to borrow.

Exhibits:
The furnished Home of FDR ("Springwood"), Rose Garden
and Gravesite, Ice House, and Stables, maintained and operated
by the National Park Service.
The FDR Presidential Museum (and Library), maintained and
operated by the National Archives and Records Administration.

Trails, Walkways:
- Once arriving, all access is pedestrian. Walkways to the
home and outbuildings are paved. Trails are for pedestrians only
(no bicycles permitted). Trails are unpaved, and are generally
wide and level. Some steep, wet, and rough trail sections may
be encountered.

Programs/Activities:
Regularly scheduled guided tours of the FDR Home are available
throughout the day. Visits to the Home are by guided tour only.
Programs vary, and include themes dealing with FDR's Presidency,
policies, conservation, home life, and his personal and political
challenges. For seasonal happenings see Events.

Lodging and Camping
Facilities:
None in park. A variety of hotels, motels, and camping sites
are available in the area. For information call Dutchess County
Tourism at 1-800 445-3131.

Food/Supplies:
A wide variety of shopping, restaurants, and grocery stores
are available in Hyde Park.
|
|
Other facilities:
The Roosevelt-Vanderbilt Historical Association carries books,
postcards, and other items for sale in the Carriage House on
the grounds. Also in the Carriage House is the Dutchess County
Tourist Information Center, with a wide variety of information
on local and regional attractions.
