The wildlife at Horseshoe Bend is abundant. You will be able to view some type of animal at any time of the year while visiting the park. Turkey, deer and squirrel are common place in the park. An occasional glimpse of an armadillo, coyote or fox is an unexpected occurrences yet pleasant. Enjoy the wildlife you find in Horseshoe Bend but remember these gifts are protected. |
Various studies are underway at the park to complete inventories of the different fauna and flora located in the park. The studies are being conducted by various universities under cooperative agreements with the National Park Service.
