1987 Landslide

This is the headwall scarp of the 1987 landslide that destroyed a private irrigation water diversion facility on the edge of Snake River.  A section of the pipeline 15 feet high can still be seen sticking up in the lower left hand corner of the image.  The pipe is 3 feet in diameter.  When the slide occurred two workers at the pump station had to escape on foot.  They were not hurt but the pump station was completely destroyed.
