Inlet of Fossil Gulch Canal.  Water is pumped from the Snake River up the hillside through large aqueducts or underground pipelines which empty water into the canal at this location.  The water is the distributed across the plateau to the agricultural crops.  There is about 100,000 gallons per minute of water flowing at the time of this photo.
