MERIWETHER LEWIS ARRIVES AT HARPERS FERRY Description: Scott Mandrell arrives at Harpers Ferry as Meriwether Lewis on July 7, 2003 – exactly 200 years after Lewis returned to inspect his weapons and supplies before departing for Pittsburgh, Pa. Mandrell, a school teacher from Alton, Illinois, is a member of the Discovery Expedition of St. Charles, Missouri.
