Fee Information

| ENTRANCE FEES Your park entrance fees support park preservation, education, and maintenance. They are valid for three consecutive days, beginning on date of purchase, at Harpers Ferry National Historical Park. Entrance passes are required in all park areas and fees are payable at Cavalier Heights Entrance Station, Bolivar Heights, Maryland Heights, Harpers Ferry Train Station, and River Access Parking Lot. Credit cards are accepted only at Cavalier Heights. Vehicle Pass - $6.00 per single, private vehicle (excludes group tours and 7+ passenger vans – see group fees below). Individual Pass - $4.00 per person arriving on foot, bicycle, or motorcycle (or $5.00 per immediate family). Group Fees - see group fees below. ANNUAL AND LIFETIME PASSES Use your National Parks Pass or Golden Pass (Age, Eagle and Access) for
park entry! Harpers Ferry Annual Pass $25.00 National Parks Pass $50.00 - Annual Golden Eagle Passport $65.00 - Annual Golden Age Passport $10.00 - Lifetime Golden Access Passport FREE – Lifetime Annual and Lifetime passes are not accepted for groups. See Group Fees below. GROUP FEES AND RESERVATIONS Reservations Required All groups planning to visit Harpers Ferry National Historical Park must make reservations a minimum of two weeks before the scheduled arrival date. Educational groups are required to make reservations a minimum of three weeks in advance [Retrieve Education Group fee information] Unless the group has been granted an official fee waiver, all fees apply. For group reservations call the Entrance Station at (304) 535-6299 OR fax your request to (304) 535-2905. Group Fees Group fees are assessed at the time of reservation. National Park Service employees will determine group status as commercial or non-commercial. The following is provided for informational purposes. Please contact the Entrance Station at (304) 535-6299 for additional information. Commercial Tour Groups Definition: One or more persons traveling on an itinerary that has been packaged, priced, and/or sold for leisure/recreational purposes by an individual or organization that realizes financial gain through provision of the service.
Please note that fees are based on vehicle capacity and not on actual occupants. Non-commercial Tour Groups Definition: One or more persons renting or traveling by bus, mini-bus, or 7+ passenger van for transportation from one point to another without a packaged tour itinerary provided by an individual or organization for financial gain.
Fee Waivers The 1965 Land and Water Conservation Fund Act provides for granting fee waivers to schools and other bona fide educational and scientific institutions. The LWCFA also provides exemption from entrance fees for official business as outlined in 36 CFR, Chapter 1, Part 71, Section 71.13e. If you feel your group may qualify for a fee waiver, write to the Superintendent of Harpers Ferry National Historical Park at:
OR fax your request to the attention of Superintendent Donald Campbell at (304) 535-6244. Your request must arrive at least two weeks before the scheduled trip and must include the following:
Groups will receive written notification of approval or disapproval after all materials and documentation are reviewed in accordance with National Park Service policies. Submission of a fee waiver request does not automatically constitute a waiver of fees. Until a fee waiver has been granted, all fees apply. All educational institutions (i.e. schools, colleges, and universities) must make reservations with Park Headquarters at (304) 535-6223, by mail at the above address, or by faxing to (304) 535-6244.
