    Objectives

    After visiting Theodore Roosevelt Island and using the activities in this guide, students will be able to:

      Name the four components of a healthy habitat: food, water, shelter, space.

      Describe at least two tools or adaptations birds have to survive in their habitats.

      Name at least two birds that live in a forest habitat.

      Name at least two birds found in a wetland.

      Describe at least two ways birds help other species in a habitat.

      Describe why National Parks are important for protecting habitats.

      Describe at least two ways people can help protect habitats.
