The symbols in the National Park Service logo have a lot of meaning. The trees, mountains and buffalo symbolize the natural resources found within our national parks. But our national parks also preserve areas where great events and important activities took place. We call these cultural and historical resources, and we symbolize them by the arrowhead that surrounds the National Park Service logo.
