Gulf Islands National Seashore
Fee Collection Rates

New Fees work for you!

Our national parks are being cared for today and preserved for future generations of the American people. Protecting our natural and cultural heritage, while ensuring that everyone visiting these areas has a safe, enjoyable and educational experience costs money.

In 1996 the Congress authorized the Recreational Fee Demonstration Program, allowing 80% of fee revenues to be used for projects in the parks that collect them.

At Gulf Islands those funds have allowed electrical upgrades in the Fort Pickens and Davis Bayou campgrounds, repair of the Star Pavilion at Perdido Key, surf and rescue equipment for lifeguards, preservation of historic masonry forts and other important projects.

The National Park Service cares for special places saved by the American people so that all can experience our heritage.

Experience your America!
