Gulf Islands National Seashore could not operate without our Volunteers-In-Parks (VIP) program. Each year volunteers donate over 50,000 hours using their talents and expertise to assist the Seashore in our mission of conserving natural and historical resources. Volunteers do a variety of jobs including assisting visitors at the visitor center, painting historic cannons, leading bird walks, monitoring sea turtles, helping with the annual International Beach Cleanup, and answering visitor information requests. If you are interested in volunteering in America's largest National Seashore please e-mail Dick_Zani@nps.gov or write to the Volunteer Coordinator, Gulf Islands National Seashore, 1801 Gulf Breeze Parkway, Gulf Breeze, FL 32563-5000. The National
Park Service has an agreement with the
Student Conservation Association (SCA) to use student volunteers for
conservation service. At Gulf Islands National Seashore SCA volunteers
assist with a variety of natural resource projects. Find out more! about volunteering in the National Park Service. Or complete an application at http://www.nps.gov/volunteer/volunteerapp1.htm |
