Gulf Islands National Seashore
Bird Checklist

 

The diversity of composite photo of wildlife habitats including open beaches, dunes, freshwater marshes, maritime forests, and salt marshes has attracted over300 species of birds. This list reflects information gathered inside park boundaries and in neighboring areas by park staff and local observers since 1965. In addition, accidentals such as Red-throated Loons and Bell’s Vireos have been sighted.

Please report unusual or new sightings to the Interpretive Division, 1801 Gulf Breeze Parkway, Gulf Breeze, FL 32561 or 3500 Park Road, Ocean Springs, MS 39564.
