Ecologists are the 'doctors' of ecosystems around the globe. When ecosystems show signs of illness, researchers search for a cause and look for possible treatments. In this activity, your patient is an ailing cottonwood which is infected with numerous exotic species. Please read the instructions below while this activity loads.

Instructions

Click on the exotic species that have infected your tree. For each invasive species you must prescribe a treatment to help your cottonwood become healthy again. If you make a good diagnosis from your Medicine Bag*, your tree will get better. If not, its health will deteriorate. Your notes will describe why. If you completely heal the cottonwood (health status of 10) or successfully remove each exotic species, a special gift will be made available to you. If the cottonwood's health status falls to zero, you will need to choose the "Last Resort."
