This table shows that the Great Sand Dunes Tiger Beetle was found in areas of bare sand and areas where very little grass or vegetation grows. When over 15.04% of the land was covered with vegetation, C. theatina was not found during the surveys. Data includes four study sites, with five transects per site, for a total of 20 transects sampled.(Phyllis M. Pineda and Boris C. Kondratieff. 2003.) |
