During the Late Paleoindian Period, points were manufactured by people of North America for hunting medium- to large-sized animals. This two and one-half inch projectile point is called a Folsom point (named after artifacts found at Folsom, New Mexico). Folsom points are recognized by the chipped flute that runs up the center of both sides.
