Both partners commit to activities to benefit students and help accomplish school improvement goals resulting in increased student achievement.

This is the first partner in education for Greenbelt Park, NCP East in its fifty-year history. Greenbelt Park became a part of the National Park Service in 1950.

The first program in the partnership was on February 11, 2003 with Black History Programs interpreted by a park ranger that was featured all day at the school.
