Special Notes:

1. The visitor per vehicle multipliers were updated during 1992. The new multiplier was applied to 1991 and 1992 figures as well as all subsequent years.
2. Grand Canyon National Park was closed due to a government shutdown from November 16, 1995 through November 20, 1995. It is estimated that approximately 50,000 visitors would have visited the canyon during that time. Additionally, the park was partially closed from December 1995 through January 5, 1996 due to a government shutdown. December figures during that time do not include train and bus visitors.
