The National Park Service (NPS) is in the initial planning stages for the construction of the Greenway V Trail, a one-mile long trail segment that would link the rim trail that currently ends at Pipe Creek Vista to the South Kaibab Trailhead on the South Rim of Grand Canyon National Park. The purpose of the scoping letter is to describe the initial proposed action for the project and to solicit comments from those who might have have issues or concerns regarding the proposal. Public comment for the Scoping Letter ends July 3, 2006.
