Wheeler Peak Wheeler Peak, at 13,063 feet, is the second tallest peak in Nevada and shadows the only glacier within the Great Basin. It's summit can be reached by a four-mile trail that gains 3000 feet in elevation, and offers spectacular views.
Bristlecone Pine Found in three different groves within the park, bristlecone pine trees like this one atop Mount Washington can live to be several thousand years old. The oldest known of these trees is called "Prometheus", and lived for nearly 5,000 years.
Baker Lake Baker Lake is one of several beautiful alpine lakes in the park. It is reached by a 6.5 mile hike, and is a popular place to fish and camp.
Aspens and Meadows Between the sagebrush of the valley and the rocky alpine zone, there are a variety of habitats including aspen groves and open meadows.
Baker Creek Baker Creek is one of several streams that run off the slopes of Great Basin National Park.
Cave Formations The "Ivory Towers" in Lehman Caves are just one of many beautiful calcite formations visible along the tour.
