The Midden

What's a Midden?

A common request of the Resource Management Branch at Great Basin National Park, from visitors, community members, and park staff, is an understanding of what projects Resource Management is doing. The purpose of this newsletter is to provide that information. Unlike a community meeting, a newsletter is a permanent and continuously available source of information that will eventually reach most everyone when distributed properly.

Our goal is to produce two newsletters a year. In the fall a newsletter will be produced in conjunction with our annual progress reports and will discuss what was done and accomplished the previous field season. A spring newsletter will discuss what we hope to accomplish during the upcoming field season. If you have any questions about the newsletter or other Resource Management issues you can contact us at 775-234-7331 ext. 267.

If you would like to receive hard copies of The Midden, send a note to gretchen_baker@nps.gov.
