Sample Itinerary
Below is an example of an itinerary for a groups
of 60 students.

Arrive at Great Basin National Park. Park at picnic area near
visitor center.

Eat snacks or lunch. Run around picnic area. Use restrooms.

Get into groups (assigned beforehand). Walk to the visitor center.
Group 1 meets their ranger and goes into the cave.
Group 2 watches the film and slide show.
Group 3 walks the nature trail.
12:00
Group 1 is still in the cave.
Group 2 meets their ranger and goes into the cave.
Group 3 watches the film and slide show.
12:30
Group 1 comes out of the cave and walks the nature trail
Group 2 is still in the cave.
Group 3 meets their ranger and goes into the cave.

Group 1 watches the film and slide show.
Group 2 comes out of the cave and walks the nature trail.
Group 3 is still in the cave.

All three groups have watched the film, walked the nature trail,
and been through the cave. If time allows, groups of seven students
and one adult can go into the gift shop. One group of 7 students
+ 1 adult at a time, please!
