Welcome Educators

At first glance, the Great Basin appears to be a desolate landscape not worthy of exploration, but nothing could be further from the truth. Right in our backyard lies a vast natural laboratory. The Great Basin provides opportunities to study everything from global climate change to salt flats to alpine wildflowers and mining history. The rich diversity of this region may be subtle, but from the sagebrush to the mountaintops there are a thousand secrets to discover!

If you would like to bring your class to Great Basin National Park, please view the FIELD TRIPS and FEE WAIVERS pages. Visit WORKSHOPS to learn about Great Basin National Park's summer workshop series. The ACTIVITY GUIDE is full of information and activities for teaching about the biology, geography, and cultures of the Great Basin region.
