Approximately half of the campsites at each campground are included in the reservation system. The remainder are left for walk-in permits in the park. This allows visitors to the park that did not make reservations the opportunity to have an experience in Glacier's Backcountry.

The green squares () above indicate how many of the reservable sites are still available at this time. Two squares means two sites are available, one square means one is left etc... Dates with no green squares currently have no more reservable sites available. There may be walk-in sites left, but those are not available until 24 hours before the start of the trip.

This information is dynamic and changes throughout the day. It only represents a snap-shot of what is happening right now. The number of available sites may well change by the time your reservation request reaches us.

   Requests for reservations should be submitted on the Reservation Request Form included in the Backcountry Camping Guide. You will need the Adobe Reader to open and print out the document.
