Western Montana Type II Incident Management Team FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE INFORMATION: Mike Cole/406-892-9053 MOOSE FIRE CAMP OPEN HOUSE (Columbia Falls, MT, September 18, 9 p.m.) “Welcome to our home away from home.” The Base Camp for the Moose Fire will be hosting an Open House Sunday, September 23, 2001 from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Activities will include camp and helibase tours. Children must be under direct supervision at all times and no drugs, alcohol or weapons are allowed in camp. The base camp is located on land owned by the Columbia Falls Aluminum Company. It may be reached from Highway 2 in Columbia Falls by turning north onto Nucleus Avenue. Follow Nucleus Avenue thru downtown to its end and turn right on North Fork Road #486. Continue on North Fork road approximately 1 mile to Aluminum Drive and follow signs. Parking will be provided in designated areas. Visitors are asked to enter at the main camp entrance where tours will be organized every half hour.
