The Going-to-the Sun Road between Triple Arches and Logan Pass. These mostly wide open slopes offer little in the way of true safe spots devoid of avalanche danger.

A closer view of the south end of The Slopes, Rimrock, Logan Pass and Logan Pass Visitor Center. The upper horizontal line through the Rimrock is the popular Highline trail. Note the recent loose snow slides in The Slopes and Rimrock.

Avalanche debris in Logan Creek that originated on the Garden Wall some 3000 vertical feet above this location. The dirty downstream tongue of snow occurred earlier this winter and shows evidence that the entire snowpack released to the ground. The cleaner debris is more recent and does not appear to have involved the full depth of the snowpack.
