Crystal Point - April 11

Cleaning up behind the dozer and rotary in the vicinity of Crystal Point.

Photo by Blase Reardon, USGS, and Mark Dundas, NPS.

View of a recent glide avalanche on the Garden Wall just South of Granite Park in the Bear Valley drainage. The height of the fracture line is slightly more than 2 meters. The annoying line across the photo is compliments of the distance and terrain this camera has traveled through the years.

Examining “rock hard” debris from the Bear Valley slide. This photo was taken from the approximate location of the Highline Trail. We apologize for the bothersome line.
