Going-to-the-Sun Road Plowing Photos

Dangerous Job - May 4, 2005

May 3 in the afternoon a dozer-triggered a wet slab slide and resulted in one of the dozers going off the road in the Rim Rock area during routine plowing operations. The operator was unharmed and there were no injuries to any of the crew. The crew recovered the dozer Thursday.

Safety of the crew is of paramount importance and this incident helps to hightlight just how hazardous opening the Going-to-the-Sun Road can be.
