Tucked away in the northern park of Glacier, about 4 miles west of
Goat Haunt, one finds Janet Lake. Often calm, the lake is mostly
obstructed from view by high vegetation along the trail.

Backpackers
often overlook Janet Lake as a stop to spend the night, opting
to continue another 3 miles to Lake Francis. This often results
in a quiet campground (situated away from the lake) where overnighters
might be surprised to have the campground to themselves, experiencing
solitude at it's best.
