Janet Lake - August 22, 2005

Janet Lake
Tucked away in the northern park of Glacier, about 4 miles west of Goat Haunt, one finds Janet Lake. Often calm, the lake is mostly obstructed from view by high vegetation along the trail.

Janet Lake
Backpackers often overlook Janet Lake as a stop to spend the night, opting to continue another 3 miles to Lake Francis. This often results in a quiet campground (situated away from the lake) where overnighters might be surprised to have the campground to themselves, experiencing solitude at it's best.
