Backcountry Permits! - April 20, 2006

Glacier National Park remains popular among backpackers wishing to explore the park's wild interior. Between April 1st and April 15th, approximately 700 backcountry permit applications were mailed or faxed in, about 100 less than last year. Backcountry Rangers are working very hard to process the piles of applications, and patient applicants will hear word of the status of their applications as soon as they are processed.
