Natural Treasures at George Washington Birthplace

George Washington Birthplace has some of the most interesting and scenic natural treasures in Virginia. Most of the 550 acre parksite includes natural landscapes. This includes prestine beaches along the 5 mile wide Potomac River, as well as upland forest with stands of historic trees, open farmlands echoing to a time of colonial development, and marshlands with uniques plant and animal species.
